South Australian Interschool Chess State Finals31st of October 2011
Chess Schools Teams from Adelaide Eastern, Northern, Western and Southern Suburbs as well as Barossa and Riverland took part in this Chess Battle of Epic proportions.
Burnside Primary School is the winner. Congratulations.
Students from Burnside Primary School took home Big Trophy and Cash Prize.
Second place was shared between Russian Ethnic School, Tyndale Christian School and Linden Park School. Only 0.5 points behind in 5th Place was Glenelg Primary School.
Best Individual player was Alex John from Burnside Primary School.
He was also the winner of Mini Blitz tournament which was held after the Main Event.
Best Girl Player was Emma Richardson from Glenelg Primary School.
Fair Play and Sportsmanship Certificates were awarded to Whitefriars School.
We are receiving lots of feedback which can be summed up in one sentence: It was great Tournament and Students enjoyed their chess day.
